Before we get started on recipes, I'd like to share a list of my favorite ingredients, which I've deemed essential and have on hand at any time. By keeping your pantry stocked, going to the store won't be a barrier to cooking after a long day at work, and you won't be dependent on special ingredients as much.

- Maldon sea salt
- "Tony's" Creole seasoning
- cinnamon
- cumin
- sesame oil
- anchovies
- apple cider vinegar
- horseradish mustard
- bay leaves
vegetables & fruits
- habanero peppers
- lemons
- shallots
- okra (always keep frozen okra!)
- red, purple, and gold fingerling potatoes
- garlic (I always have 2 heads at any time)
meat & dairy products
- duck fat
- roast chicken (saves so much time in cooking)
- ground turkey - keep it in the freezer
- sour cream
- buttermilk
